All-New Maruti Suzuki DZire Unveiling on April 24, 2017

All-New Maruti Suzuki DZire would be unveiled to the media on April 24, 2017 in the country. We have already reported you that the company would launch the all-new sedan on May 25, 2017 in the Indian market. Several dealers have even started taking orders for the new DZire at a token amount of Rs. 10,000 with deliveries promised by May end. The sedan has been already spotted a few times undisguised at the Maruti's stockyard with exterior styling and interior cabin totally revealed. Meanwhile, all-new Maruti Swift is also being readied for the Indian market and is expected to launch at the grand stage of 2018 Auto Expo in February.

The 2017 All-New Swift Production to start in October at Gujarat facility!

Talking about the all-new Maruti DZire, it is underpinning the company's new lightweight architecture, while styling cues have been borrowed from the Euro-spec and Japan-spec version of the Swift hatch. Not only this, but the sedan also gets a few peculiar elements of its own. The exterior features include new LED headlamps with daytime running lights (DRLs), redesigned broad front grille with chrome bezels, tweaked front bumper with chrome treatment, fog lamps, newly-designed alloy wheels, shark fin antenna and a revamped spoiler unit at the rear. The interior cabin would be finished in a dual-tone black and beige upholstery with a plethora of exciting features such as auto climate control buttons, leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel with mounted controls for audio, and a 7-inch Smart play touchscreen system

Mechanically, the 2017 Maruti DZire would be available in petrol and diesel trims as the current model. Maruti hasn't officially confirmed the engines but we expect the new sedan to retain the same set of petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variants would be powered by the 1.2L 4-cylinder K12B engine, while the diesel variants would be offered with a 1.3L 4-cylinder DDiS 190 engine. The power output and torque performance are learned to be same but the mileage is expected to get close to 30kmpl due to the new lightweight platform. The engine would be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. However, for the first time, the sedan might also get an AMT variant as well. But, it is pretty certain that it would be the most fuel efficient car in India upon its launch.
